This year’s Jurassic Lanark is more ROARSOME than ever, with not ONE, not TWO but THREE dino-packed trails to follow: the classic Monster Trail through Lanark town centre and Castlebank Park; the fun-sized Mini Trail featuring dino displays in local shop windows; and, NEW for '26, the Explorer Trail, which takes intrepid dinosaur hunters beyond Lanark town centre to New Lanark World Heritage Site, the Falls of Clyde, Langloch Farm and Lanark Agricultural Centre.

Or follow the Explorer Trail and track down 15+ prehistoric creatures, large and small, at locations outside Lanark town centre. Complete one, two or all the trails and earn your Jurassic Lanark Badge, showing everyone you're a true dinosaur hunter!

Lanark Agricultural Centre - Gavel Restaurant (open Thursday to Tuesday, 9am - 3pm; closed Wednesdays)

The full route of the Monster Trail is just under 2 miles long. Please note there are some narrow pavements on the route and areas with no pavement on the steep walk down to Castlebank Park. There is also a steep slope including shallow steps within the park.

There's a whole herd to meet!
