Discover Lanark is a proposed business-led and business funded body formed to improve a defined commercial area within the town. Businesses decide and direct what they want for the area and contribute towards a pot of money which is ring-fenced for projects identified in a collaborate five-year costed business plan.
Lanark supports a diverse range of businesses. From manufacturing companies who are leaders in their industries and a retail centre serving the town and its surrounds to a service sector that reaches out across Lanarkshire and beyond. Helping those businesses to thrive is essential to ensuring Lanark's economic growth.
The six-week ballot process to decide whether a BID should be established in Lanark concluded on Thursday 28th February 2019. The businesses of Lanark have voted Yes to implementing the proposals within the Business Plan put forward by the Discover Lanark Steering Group.
