The countdown to Christmas starts with our traditional Christmas Market (10am to 5.30pm). With scores of stalls filled with seasonal goodies, there's no better time to start your Christmas shopping. The town's shops, cafes and eateries promise a warm welcome and there's plenty of fantastic free entertainment lined up during the afternoon to keep the kids happy. As darkness falls, join us for the Switch On of the Christmas Lights by none other than Santa himself (approx 5pm)!

Lanark Memorial Hall has an amazing line up of Christmas shows and events for all ages: Memorial Hall Box Office. Keep an eye out too for New Lanark's magical Christmas Experience, launching on November 24 and running until January 7. With Santa's grotto, an Ice Rink, weekend markets and more, there's so much to enjoy New Lanark World Heritage Site
And look out for updates from Scottish Wildlife Falls of Clyde, Langloch Farm, Scottish Equestrian Centre, Castlebank Park and our local churches, halls, pubs, schools and other venues. There is lots for all the family to enjoy together.
