"Over the Rainbow" exhibition opens in Lanark Tolbooth
Artwork and photography from over 30 local people is displayed in Lanark Tolbooth's first post-lockdown exhibition
Back in April, the Tolbooth Lanark and Lanark Community Development Trust (LCDT) launched the "Over the Rainbow" creative competition to bring colour and joy to the lives of local people during lockdown. Over 30 fantastic entries were received for the competition, and the judges had a very difficult job in selecting the winners. The creative talent on display through paintings, drawings, photography and sculpture was incredibly impressive. The winners of the categories have been chosen as:
- Professional category winner - Ronnie Cruwys
- Amateur category winner - Judith Wilson
- Junior category - all entrants will receive an art set.
The winning entries and work of the other entrants will be displayed in the Tolbooth Lanark's first post-lockdown exhibition which runs until 8th August. A small number of works will be available to bid for within a silent auction, with proceeds from the works going to charities of the artists' choice.
Lanark Community Development Trust and the Tolbooth Trust would like to say a huge thank you to all the entrants for putting in the time and effort to enter the competition.
Visit the exhibition in Lanark Tolbooth Monday to Saturday, 10am-4pm until 8th August 2020
