Family-Friendly Easter Festival Announced

Families are invited to celebrate the arrival of spring at the Easter Festival at New Lanark World Heritage Site, with a packed programme of activities, entertainment and seasonal fun for visitors of all ages.

Running over Easter weekend, 4th & 5th April, the festival will be an Eggs-travaganza for the whole family, transforming the historic mill village into a lively hub of family-friendly experiences of Easter magic, packed with family activities, live entertainment, crafts, and special seasonal surprises. From scavenger hunts and silent discos to traditional egg rolling and a visit from the Easter Bunny, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, set against the backdrop of one of Scotland’s most iconic heritage destinations. Young visitors can enjoy a variety of hands-on crafting activities and the infamous Duck Race, which takes place on the Mill lade.

With activities designed for children and adults alike, the Easter Festival is expected to be one of the highlights of the spring events calendar at New Lanark.

Visitors can also make the most of everything New Lanark has to offer during their visit, from exploring the award-winning Visitor Centre and seeing historic textile machinery in action, to enjoying walks along the scenic Falls of Clyde.

The festival provides the perfect opportunity to discover the site’s rich history while taking part in a day filled with springtime celebration and family fun.
