This c.10km circular walk from Lanark to the villages of Cartland & Kirkfieldbank is the perfect morning or afternoon activity! Start at Lanark's historic Hope Street, head into more rural lands via Mousebank Road and start your diversion to Carland via Greentowers Road. Be careful crossing the busy main road to join the next Nemphlar Moor road path onto Mousemill Road to bring you into Kirkfieldbank. The last section takes you uphill the Kirkfieldbank Brae. You'll deserve a well-earned refreshment at the end, thankfully Lanark's town centre is full of cafés, bars and restaurants.
