The dinosaurs are back in Lanark ... and they're even more hungry!
Come to Lanark this summer if you are brave enough! A host of fearsome dinosaurs will be on the loose in Lanark town centre and New Lanark World Heritage Site between 24 June and 14 August. Your task? To find them ... before they find you!
Join our exciting free family trail and walk in the footsteps of giants. Some 25 dinosaurs will be waiting for you to discover them. Find them all to claim your Jurassic Lanark Badge - proof that you are an intrepid dinosaur hunter!
New for 2022 are a couple of animatronic giants - a spectacular Spinosaurus and a vicious Allosaurus grappling with two Raptors. Look out also for the beady-eyed Pterosaur, protecting its hatching eggs.
Two new baby puppet dinosaurs, a TRex and a Brachiosaurus, will be out and about in the town centre with their handler every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday to greet visitors brave enough to come up close.
Free trail maps will be available from Tolbooth Lanark in the town centre and New Lanark World Heritage Site Gift Shop (both open daily, 10am to 5pm).

Once you've completed the trail, collect your Jurassic Lanark Badge from Tolbooth Lanark or New Lanark Gift Shop. Proof you’ve followed the trail and lived to tell the tale!
